Plant A Seed: HMPO Visits Mblane Primary School in KwaZulu-Natal

Helping Mzansi People Out (HMPO) recently embarked on a powerful journey to Mblane Primary School, located in the Mbulwane region of KwaZulu-Natal. This visit marked a meaningful milestone in our newly launched initiative, Plant A Seed  a campaign dedicated to inspiring, educating, and empowering young learners across South Africa.

Our mission was simple yet profound: to plant seeds of possibility in the hearts and minds of children, while providing tangible support to help them believe in a brighter future.

Plant A Seed is more than a campaign it is a movement of hope, empowerment, and opportunity.

At HMPO, we believe that every child carries within them a seed of greatness. With the right guidance, exposure, and support, that seed can grow into a future filled with purpose, confidence, and success.

Through this initiative, HMPO introduces learners from primary school through high school to the vast opportunities within the automotive industry. From engineering and design to mechanics, technology, sales, and leadership, the automotive sector offers countless pathways that many young people have never been exposed to.

For too long, many children have believed that their dreams are limited by their circumstances. Plant A Seed seeks to change that narrative by showing learners that their potential is limitless — and that their passions can drive them toward meaningful careers.

During our visit to Mblane Primary School, we engaged with learners through educational talks, mentorship moments, and interactive discussions about the future of mobility and innovation. We also had the privilege of sponsoring and distributing school bags generously donated by our partner, Go Bid, ensuring that learners felt supported not only emotionally but practically.

Spotlight on Our Latest Sponsor: Drop 12 Academy

HMPO is proud to welcome Drop 12 Academy as one of our latest sponsors and partners in the Plant A Seed campaign.

Drop 12 Academy is committed to youth development, education, and skills empowerment, aligning perfectly with HMPO’s vision of creating sustainable opportunities for young people in South Africa.

Their support plays a crucial role in helping us expand the reach and impact of Plant A Seed, enabling us to touch more schools, more communities, and more lives.

Interview with the Principal: Mrs Mkhize

As part of our visit to Mblane Primary School, we had the honour of speaking with the school’s Principal, Mrs Mkhize, who shared her thoughts on the importance of initiatives like Plant A Seed.

Building Tomorrow, Today

Plant A Seed is not only about careers; it is about restoring hope, igniting ambition, and empowering young people to believe in their potential.

Through initiatives like this, HMPO is planting seeds that will grow into tomorrow’s innovators, technicians, leaders, and change-makers in South Africa’s automotive space.

Together with partners like Go Bid, Drop 12 Academy, and the communities that support us, we are watering the dreams of Mzansi’s future.

Because when we invest in our youth, we are not just building careers we are building a stronger, more hopeful South Africa
