Plant A Seed: HMPO Visits Hlayisekani Stimulation Centre in Tzaneen, Limpopo

Helping Mzansi People Out (HMPO) recently took another meaningful step in its Plant A Seed campaign by visiting Hlayisekani Stimulation Centre, located in the Tzaneen region of Limpopo. Founded in 2012, the centre is dedicated to supporting and empowering youth living with disabilities, including Down syndrome and other developmental challenges.

This visit was not just about education and sponsorship it was about celebrating ability, dignity, joy, and potential in every child.

Plant A Seed is HMPO’s commitment to nurturing hope, confidence, and opportunity among South Africa’s youth regardless of their background or abilities.

At HMPO, we believe that every child carries a seed of greatness within them. For children living with disabilities, that seed is no different; it simply needs understanding, patience, and the right environment to flourish.

Through the Plant A Seed campaign, HMPO introduces young learners to new possibilities, encourages self-belief, and provides practical support to help them dream beyond limitations. At Hlayisekani Stimulation Centre, our team engaged learners through interactive activities, motivational talks, and moments of connection that reminded every child that they are seen, valued, and capable.

Our visit also included sponsorship and support aimed at strengthening the centre’s work and uplifting the learners who call it home.

Interview with the Centre Administrator: Mr Cassius Mlondobozi

During our visit, we had the opportunity to speak with Mr Cassius Mlondobozi, the centre’s Administrator, who shared insight into the centre’s mission and the heart behind its work.

One of the most powerful lessons from our visit to Hlayisekani Stimulation Centre was the importance of shifting perspective from focusing on disability to recognising ability.

The learners at the centre radiate joy, creativity, and resilience. Through structured programmes, therapy, stimulation activities, and play, the centre ensures that every child is given the opportunity to grow, express themselves, and experience life fully.

Building an Inclusive Future

HMPO’s visit to Hlayisekani Stimulation Centre reaffirmed the true meaning of Plant A Seed planting seeds of inclusion, confidence, and possibility.

By supporting children with disabilities, we are not only empowering individuals but also shaping a more compassionate and inclusive South Africa. When every child is given the chance to dream, learn, and thrive, we create a future where no one is left behind.

Through Plant A Seed, HMPO continues to plant seeds of hope seeds that will grow into confidence, opportunity, and transformation.

Because every child matters.Every dream matters. And every seed deserves a chance to grow.
